Southern Railway Extends Services of Special Trains to Accommodate Passenger Rush

In response to the increasing demand from passengers, Southern Railway has announced the extension of services for two weekly superfast special trains. The decision aims to clear the rush of passengers during specific dates in late 2023 and early 2024.
1. Train No. 06012 Nagercoil - Tambaram Weekly Superfast Special:
- The service, initially operating on Sundays, departing from Nagercoil at 16:35 hrs and reaching Tambaram at 04:10 hrs the next day, will be extended to run on the following dates: 26th November, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st December 2023, and 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th January 2024. This extension includes a total of 10 services.
2. Train No. 06011 Tambaram - Nagercoil Weekly Superfast Special:
- The service, initially operating on Mondays, departing from Tambaram at 08:05 hrs and reaching Nagercoil at 20:45 hrs on the same day, will be extended to run on the following dates: 27th November, 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th December 2023, and 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th January 2024. This extension also includes a total of 10 services.
Passengers are encouraged to make advance reservations for these Sabari Special Trains as the booking facility is now open from the Southern Railway end.
