Ration shops are to be open on Sunday for the occasion of the Deepavali festival!

It has been announced that ration shops will be open on the upcoming Sunday in celebration of the Deepavali festival.
In the State of Tamil Nadu, there are over 35,000 ration shops operating under the Department of Food and Cooperatives of the State Government of Tamil Nadu. To enhance public convenience when these ration shops are open, certain modifications have been implemented.
According to the new arrangement, some of the shops will remain closed on the first two Fridays of the month but will be open on the first two Sundays of the month. In addition to these shops, the other ration shops will not be in operation on any Sundays.
In light of this, the Department of Food and Cooperatives of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has issued an order for the ration shops to open on the upcoming Sunday to enable the public to purchase groceries for the Deepavali Festival. Furthermore, these ration shops have been instructed to maintain sufficient stock of all essential items to ensure that the public`s needs are met without any disappointments.
