The non approved water packaging units closing operation have started yesterday. Some of the ISI certified water companies were closed as they did not adhere to standards and norms. However, these water packaging units say that for herbal and flavored water they need the approval from Delhi and not from Tamilnadu. The national green tribunal bench has announced to close down all the non approved water packaging units. In this regard, the government has sent an official statement recently.
