Superb!! Now, a tri-weekly express train service between Chennai and Bodinayakanur!!

Hereafter, people could travel very easily between Chennai and Bodinayakanur in Theni district in TN as there would be direct tri-weekly trains between these 2 places.
On Thursday, 15th June 2023, Union minister for Information and Broadcasting Mr. L. Murugan. Minister for Fisheries and Animal husbandry, Theni MP Mr. P. Raveendranath Kumar etc were also present. Train was flagged off at 8pm in the evening from Bodinayakanur in Theni district to Chennai.
It is noteworthy that the extended run Theni-Madurai unreserved express to Bodi was also inaugurated. From 16th of June 2023, the extended run of regular service of train no 20601/2-602 Chennai-Bodinayakanur tri weekly express will start from Chennai and from 18th June onwards the train would commence from Bodinayakanur.
The Southern Railways or SR have also introduced a stoppage of 2 express trains at Kodaikanal Road or Kodai Road station, Dindigul district.The needs of the passengers were taken into account.
