No bus ticket required for children under 5 years of age!

Children under the age of 5 years can travel free in all the Government Buses!
Around 20000 buses are being operated under the 8 Tamil Nadu Government Transport Corporations in Tamil Nadu State.
Presently, no tickets are to be procured for bus travel for children under the age of 3 years. The State Government of Tamil Nadu had announced a revision on this as free travel increasing the age limit of children to 5 Years. Implementing this announcement, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has released a Government Order on this proposal. As such, children under the age of 5 years can now travel free.
The present permission to procure half-tickets for children in the age group 3-12, is now revised to half-tickets for children in the age group 5-12!
