Greater Chennai Corporation Members Ward Development Fund increased from Rs. 35 Lakhs to Rs. 40 Lakhs!

The Mayor of Chennai Metro City, Priya, has announced that the Ward Development funds for Greater Chennai Corporation Members have been increased from Rs. 35 lakhs to Rs. 40 lakhs.
Concessions will be given to Greater Chennai Corporation School students who pass the Public Examinations and join colleges. It was announced during the budget presentation that the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) will pay the first year`s fees for these students after they join college.
Furthermore, Mayor Priya announced that higher education fees will be covered for corporation school students who pass the competitive exams JEE (Joint Entrance Examination), NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test), and CLAT (Common Law Admission Test).
