Imagine how it would be sitting and dining inside a floating restaurant in Chennai? Sounds incredible doesn`t it!!
This could soon become a reality because in another 3 months those visiting the Muttukadu boat house could get this superb experience. A two deck floating restaurant would be set up by the TN Tourism Department on a boat of length 125ft and width 25feet. An amount of Rs 5 cr would be spent on this and the floating restaurant would be ready in another 3 months.
Out of the 2 decks, the lower deck would be air-conditioned and the upper deck would have an open dining space.
It was later confirmed by an official belonging to the Tourismdept that the floating restaurant would be set up under the public-private partnership model and a license fee would be obtained by the Tourism dept. Information collected is that the floating restaurant would be constructed and operated by Grandeur Marine International, Kochi.
