Tiruppur Launches 24/7 Helpline and Committee to Ensure Safety of Migrant Workers

In order to protect the well-being of migrant workers, the district administration in Tiruppur has established a 24-hour helpline number and constituted a committee.
Dr. S Vineeth, district collector, raised worry about recent incidences of violence against migrant labourers, including conflicts between locals and migrants in Tiruppur.
Anyone can report similar incidents using the new helpline lines, 094981-01320 and 0421-2970017. The committee will monitor the helplines and collaborate with officials to investigate and resolve any complaints. This project attempts to make the district a safer place for migrant workers while also protecting their rights.
