80 kg of garbage collected during clean-up operation at Besant Nagar beach!

On February 25, volunteers from the Turyaa Hotel in Chennai took part in a beach clean-up drive at Besant Nagar Beach for the third consecutive year. This initiative was part of the hotel`s ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts to promote a safer and cleaner community. The hotel`s team, consisting of over 30 employees, joined forces with researchers and scientists from the National Centre for Coastal Research (NCCR) to collect 80 kg of waste within a 1 km beachfront radius in just 1.5 hours.
During the clean-up drive, the Turyaa team also launched an awareness campaign to encourage local communities to be part of the solution and not contribute to pollution. The hotel has been actively promoting eco-friendly practices and aims to continue these efforts in the future.
