No supply of drinking water in Adyar, Sholinganallur and Perungudi etc TOMORROW!!

As a result of the pipeline works, there would not be any drinking water supply tomorrow to places like Adyar, Sholinganallur and Perungudi belonging to south Chennai from 6am for 24 hours.
It was mentioned by the press release from the Chennai Drinking Water Board that on 25th February tomorrow the connection work to Madipakkam comprehensive drinking water supply project would be carried out on the Velachery- Tambaram Road opposite to NIWE.
Tomorrow at the Medavakkam main road junction on the Velachery- Tambaram Road, there would be connection work of 1200 mm diameter drinking water pipe ( from 150 million litre capacity of Nemmeli desalination plant) with 800 mm diameter drinking water pipe (from 110 million litre capacity water treatment plant)
In front of Vettuvankeni Church, for the Okkiyam- Thoraipakkam comprehensive drinking water supply project, connection works would be carried out. For this reason, the drinking water supply would be stopped from the Nemmeli plant on 25th February 2023. Therefore, in the zones of Adyar, Sholinganallur and Perungudi there would not be drinking water supply from tomorrow 6am in the morning for another 24 hours. The public have been asked to store sufficient water before itself as a precautionary measure. To get the drinking water through trucks, the residents could register on the website.
