Great News: 708 unauthorized occupations removed in Chennai Metro City!

Greater Chennai Corporation has removed unauthorized occupation in 708 locations (Public Places pavements on roads, etc.)!
In a notification released in this regard by the Greater Chennai Corporation, it is mentioned:
"Greater Chennai Corporation has initiated various important activities such as removal of unauthorized occupations, removal of debris and construction wastes dumped on the roadsides, and delinking the pipelines of drain water which is illegally connected to the Rainwater drainage pipelines, etc.
In this situation, in a survey/analysis conducted from 6th February to 17th February in public places and road pavements, 268 unauthorized occupations with full-fledged constructions, and temporary tents were all removed in a total of 708 unauthorized occupations!
Further, during the 8 months from 17th June last year until 17th February this year, 2730 unauthorized occupations of full-fledged constrictions and 3989 temporary unauthorized occupations, making for a total of 6719 unauthorized occupations have been removed!"
