How the Avadi police are now trying its best to be very friendly with the public?

Smooth and friendly relationships between police personnel and the public is very important to prevent crimes etc!!
To provide the public an easy and approachable access to the police, the Avadi police commissionerate has once again started patrolling in bicycles now. This has grabbed the attention of many. The main purpose of bicycle patrolling would be to prevent crimes from taking place and to ensure more visible policing.
The Avadi police commissionerate has procured at least 100 bicycles and they would be distributed to 25 police stations under its control. It is learnt that in phase one the bicycles have been distributed to Korattur police station and Ambattur Estate police station and the police constables would go for regular patrolling during the day and in the evenings also.
By this patrolling activity, the constables would be alert, they would become more friendlier with the public plus cover the whole locality easily. Point is that this bicycle patrolling is a part of a neighbourhood watch scheme that has been introduced by the police recently.
Mr. Sandeep Rai Rathore , police commissioner, Avadi spoke about how multiple modules of visible policing are being carried out now. He added that through bicycle patrolling the police would be able to show their presence in the remote and less covered areas under the commissionerate. The needs of the residents would be known by this activity.
It must be taken into note that the police personnel would sit with the public and discuss their issues and provide a suitable solution. Based on the outcome of this exercise, this public security exercise would be extended to other places too. Feedbacks from the police constables would also be obtained. Point to be noted is that the bicycle patrollgn has been developed to gather intelligence. There would be close interaction between police personnel and security guards.
