Olympic Academy to set up in 4 locations in Tamil Nadu State!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has decided to set up `Olympic Academies` at 4 locations in the state!
In this regard, the following is mentioned in the itinerary of the Republic Day Programmes:
- "The State Government of Tamil Nadu has initiated action to set up `Olympic Academies` in the districts of Chennai, Trichy, Madurai and Nilgiri.
- It is planned to erect an elevated road of 500 meters width on either side from the Island Grounds (Anna Salai) to the Chennai Airport to encourage the elevated constructions.
- This project will facilitate the enhancement of traffic usage and a reduction in private vehicles.
- As for the unapproachable sections of Marina Beach in the Chennai Metro City, it has been decided to link these sections by adopting lighter infrastructure devices.
- 3 `Sky Lift` vehicles, with a capacity to reach 54 metres in height are to be procured for the Department of Fire-fighting for the cities of Trichy, Tirupur and Coimbatore.
