NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS: REGULATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS FOR STAR HOTELS!

Chennai Metro City Department of Police has imposed various regulations and restrictions on the occasion of the English New Year Celebrations at Star Hotels!

It is well-known that due to the raging impact of the coronavirus pandemic, there were no NEW Year Celebrations! As such, this New Year is expected to be celebrated with all the more pomp, enthusiasm and cheer! As such, the Star Hotels in Chennai Metro City and elsewhere and Resorts are preparing to! Celebrate the ensuing New Year grandly and enthusiastically!

As such, the Department of Police in Chennai Metro City is undertaking all possible efforts to ensure that this special New Year Occasion passes without ANY UNTOWARD INCIDENTS!

The rules, regulations, ad restrictions imposed by the Department of Police on the STAR HOTELS on New Year Celebrations:

Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) monitoring MUST be arranged at the entrances of all restaurants, STAR eateries, the location of the entertainment, the location where the New Year Feast is scheduled and Entertainment centres. Complete details regarding his vehicles MUST be made available. No Celebration platforms should be set up near the swimming pools OR on it!

TIME RESTRICTION MANDATORY: The way leading to the swimming pool MUST be blocked! Alcoholic beverages MUST be served only in the permitted drinking bars!

The feasts and alcoholic drinking sessions MUST be completed before midnight!

The time restrictions imposed MUST be strictly adhered to! Enough Staff Must be employed to ensure complete prevention of any incident of teasing or ragging women! The security staff must be women.

NO CRACKERS MUST BE BURNT IN THE COMPLEX!

These are the restrictions! WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE THAT IN CASE OF VIOLATION OF THE ABOVE RESTRICTIONS, IMMEDIATE STRINGENT LEGAL ACTION WILL BE TAKEN!

As it is traditional for the New Year Celebrations to be performed in Chennai Metro City in Marina Beach, Santhome Beach Elliot`s Beach, East Coast Road (ECR), and some public places, HEAVY SAFETY ARRANGEMENTS ARE BEING ARRANGED IN THESE LOCATIONS AS WELL!

Safety measures at 100 locations:

The security is being strengthened at 100 locations in Chennai Metro City on the occasion of New Year Celebrations. Vehicle checking will be done in 400 locations,

20 SPECIAL MONITORING SQUADS HAVE BEEN DEPLOYED TO MONITOR AND ENSURE THAT THERE ARE NO O BIKE RACES HELD IN MARINA BEACH, RAJIV GANDHI ROAD, AND EAST COAST ROAD!

FURTHER 20 PATROLLING MOTORCYCLE SQUADS OF SAFETY MONITORING WILL BE IN ACTION!

AROUND 15000 POLICE STAFF WILL BE DEPLOYED ON SATURDAY THROUGHOUT CHENNAI METRO CITY ON A NIGHT PATROL ON SATURDAY 31ST NIGHT!

SECURITY STRENGTHENED IN 100 LOCATIONS; VEHICLE CHECK AT 400 LOCATIONS:

On the occasion of the New Year Celebrations, security in 100 locations in Chennai Metro City is strengthened. On 31st January (Saturday). Vehicle checks are being done in 400 locations.  At this juncture, a vehicle inspection will be done throughout Chennai Metro City from 9.00 PM on Saturday, 31st December until early morning on Sunday, 1st January 2023!

Precautionary actions are being taken to prevent any motorbike racing from being organized in Marina Beach, Rajiv Gandhi Road, and East Coast Road. Further, a squad of 20 Motorbikes patrolling squad will be monitoring!

To manage the excessive crowds at Marina Beach and Elliot`s Beach, Police will be patrolling these areas doing rounds on ATV Vehicles.

Horse-mounted police will be patrolling the Marina Beach coast.

On east Coast Road, to prevent accidents, Road-Blocks are being set up at 20 locations.

Around 15000 police will be deployed throughout Chennai Metro City for monitoring to prevent untoward happenings

Celebrations in East Coast Road without any approval

Complaints have been received that New Celebration Parties are being held in the bungalows on East Coast Road!  There are 100s of Bungalows on East Coast Road across Vettuvankeni, Enjambakkam, Akkarai, Panaiyur, Uthandi, Kanathur, and Muttukkadu.

The public has complained that New Year Parties and celebrations are planned in the above Bungalows without proper permission!

Especially, maximum complaints areas of Tambaram Police Commission have the jurisdiction to cover Kanathur, Muttukkadu, Thiruvidanthai, and Kovalam, where New Year parties may be conducted – as such, the public has appealed to the Police to prevent this!
