ISKCON Chennai is holding the swing festival of Sri Sri Radha Krishna from
17th August to 21st August 2013, at its temple Hare Krishna Land, Off East Coast Road, Akkarai,Sholinganallur, Chennai-119.
Radha Krishna Oonjal Utsavam or the Jhulan Yatra is the special festival of the rainy season where Lord Krishna and Srimati Radhika are placed on a swing (Jhulan). This creates a breeze from the motion, giving relief from the humidity caused by the rains. It is also a golden opportunity to render personal service to Radha Krishna by personally pulling their swing and taking their very close darshan.
The swing festival will be held in the evening from 6.30pm to 8pm. On Sunday 18th August alone, the swing festival will be held in the afternoon also from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
