Second time in last 4 years - Know about the Chennai police latest activity?

The news that has come out is that the Chennai police have removed about 1000 abandoned vehicles from the police stations as a part of the one day mission of cleaning and clearing the premises of the police stations.
It must be noted that the police personnel put a lot of effort into making their workplace a better place to be in. On Wednesday, at 106 police stations the cleaning process was done and they have cleared a total of 978 vehicles. As many as 40 vehicles were returned to the genuine owners of the vehicles.
Under the section 41 of CrPC, the police personnel issued show cause notices to 364 vehicle owners. It must be noted that other vehicles were confiscated in connection with other cases.
It is learnt that this was the second time in the last 4 years the police personnel in Chennai has undertaken the cleaning operation in the police stations.
The bitter truth is that almost all the police station buildings have not been cleaned since they were built. This was according to a police inspector. He threw light on how before important festivals like Pongal etc rooms of inspector and writer would be cleaned.
