Heavy rains for the next 3 hours in these places!!

The Cyclone Mandous has crossed the coast and is moving over the land. The Chennai Meteorological department has announced that there would be rains for another 3 hours in certain places. As per the 4am early morning, moderate rains is likely to occur in the districts like Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur, Ranipet, Vellore, Thiruvannamali, Salem, Dharmapuri, Kallakurichi and Thirupathur etc for the next 3 hours.
There would be light to moderate rains in Chennai, Chengalpet, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Krishnagiri, Coimbatore, Theni, Nilgiris, Theni, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Kanniyakumari, Tirupur, Dindigul, Erode and few parts of Puducherry. This was revealed by the met dept. There has been heavy rains of 16cms recorded in Kattupakkam belonging to the Thiruvallur district due to the cyclone Mandous. Localities like Poonamalle, Puzhal and Nungambakkam etc in Chennai reported 10cm of rain.
