First year college girl students (Government High School) can apply for Rs, 1000/- monthly assistance

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that the 1st Year College Girl Students can apply to get monthly assistance of Rs. 1000 under the `Pudhumai Penn` Scheme!
This `Pudhumai Penn` Scheme was inaugurated by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin on 5th September for the girl students pursuing higher studies in colleges who MUST have studied in Government High Schools from the 6th Standard to the 12th Standard to get the monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1000/-!
Under this scheme, around 1.10 Lakh Girl Students studying in the 2nd, the 3rd, and the 4th year of the graduate courses have benefited so far!
As such, it has been announced that the present first-year college students can also apply now from 1st November to avail of this benefit of Rs. 1000/- monthly assistance!
The Girl Students who want to avail of this assistantship under the `Pudhumai Penn` Scheme, can apply through their respective colleges from 1st November to 11th November ONLINE! The website: www.puthumaipenn.tn.gov.in.
In this regard, it is conveyed that first-year college girl students pursuing higher education can apply for monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1000/-. They can register their applications through their respective colleges from 1st November until 11th November. PLEASE DO NOT SEND THE APPLICATIONS DIRECT! NOTE THAT GIRAL STUDENTS WHO STUDIED IN GOVERNMENT HIGH SCHOOLS ONLY ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY! Note special camps will be conducted for this purpose until 11th November.
The girl students MUST attach copies of their Aadhar card and Transfer certificates. In case the are any doubts while filling out the application, contact the Help Centre at the Office of the Department of Social Welfare.
