Presidency College in Chennai- A new course for hearing impaired students!!

In Chennai, Presidency College is highly popular and this college is making sensational news now!!
Soon, this college would be introducing the first ever master`s degree exclusively for the hearing impaired students. It must be taken into note that at present the college has B.Com and BCA courses for such students. Information is that the eligible students could apply for the courses from 16th September till 5pm on 23rd September 2022.
Long standing demand of the students has been taken into account and the new course was launched. This was pointed out by the principal Mr. Raman. He explained that already the college has been offering B. Com for the hearing impaired students and there were demands from the students to start M.Com also. The TN government has been approached and sanction was received.
Point is that just a few colleges in India offer master`s degree courses for the hearing impaired students. Soon, Presidency College would be appointing new teachers to teach the hearing impaired students through sign language. It was highlighted by some officials that the course would offer 40 to 50 seats and the strength would be increased in the future depending on the demand. There are 60 seats exclusively for the hearing impaired students at this college for B.Com course.
