Many these days use various social media platforms to express their views and some persons use these platforms to spread rumours etc.
Soon, the social media squads would be busy with their work of identifying those persons who spread rumours on the social media. It is well known to us that several steps are being taken these days to prevent crimes on social media. Inspite of these measures taken, the social media crimes continue to take place creating issues for many.
The DGP of TN Mr. Sylendra Babu expressed his thoughts. He threw light on how social media squads have been set up by the police department now to track those who spread rumours on the social media platforms. He added that in 9 cities including Chennai and in 37 districts social media teams with the knowledge of cyber crime technology have been formed.
