The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed us there are prospects for heavy rains in 21 districts in Tamil Nadu today (Monday, 5th September)
Nilgiri, Erode, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Madurai, Karur, Trichy, Namakkal, Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Vellore, Thirupathur, Ranippettai, Thiruvannamalai, Kallakkurichi, Thenkasi, Thirunelveli, and Kanyakumari, are the 21 districts as mentioned by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre with prospects for heavy rain in 1 or 2 places.
6th September:
There are prospects for heavy to very heavy rain in 1 or 2 places in Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Thenkasi, Thirunelveli, and Kanyakumari. There are prospects for heavy rain in 1 or 2 places in the districts of Erode, Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Madurai, Karur, Trichy, Namakkal, Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Vellore, Thirupathur, Ranippettai, Thiruvannamalai, and Kallakkurichi.
7th September:
There are prospects for heavy to very heavy rain in the districts of Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Vellore, Thirupathur, Thiruvannamalai, and Kallakkurichi. There are prospects for heavy rain in 1 or 2 places in the districts of Erode, Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Madurai, Karur, Trichy, Namakkal, Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Ranippettai, Thenkasi, Thirunelveli, and Kanyakumari.
9th September:
There are prospects for heavy rain in 1 or 2 places in the districts of Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Krishnagiri, Erode, Dharmapuri, Vellore, Thirupathur, Ranippettai, and Thiruvannamalai.
As regards Chennai Metro City, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy in the next 48 hours. There are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in 1 or 2 places in the city!
