Happy news for the residents belonging to Chitlapakkam, Hasthinapuram , East Tambaram etc in Chennai

Just recently, it was mentioned that the metro feeder service S100 from airport to Tambaram was not plying through any residential areas. Now, S100 metro feeder bus service has been re-routed and is plying between several streets belonging to localities like Chitlapakkam, Hasthinapuram and east Tambaram etc.
In the first week of August, CMRL caught the attention of many when it introduced metro feeder bus service from airport to west Tambaram. It is noteworthy that the route S100 was just running parallel to GST and the residential areas like Chitlapakkm, Hasthinapuram and east Tambaram etc were not included. The residents belonging to the above said localities requested the metro feeder bus service to be re-routed through their localities. There were as many as20 MTC buses plying along the same route are known.
As per an officer belonging to MTC it was confirmed that the requests of the residents of these localities were taken into consideration and S100 MTC bus has been re-routed.
Information gathered is that the S100 feeder metro bus service now passes through various localities like Chitlapakkam Anna Street, Gandhi Road, Muthulakshmi Nagar, Karunanidhi Street, Babu Street Junction, Pamban Swami Salai, Thirumurugan Salai, Chitlapakkam Second and Third Main Road, Tambaram Sanatorium railway station and Tambaram railway station etc.
Any further change to the route would be based on the patronage in the bus. It must be noted that earlier 0.5km of the entire route consisted of residential areas. Action for covering many localities was taken now and many residents are feeling delighted with this re-routing of the metro feeder bus service. The re-routing of S100 has been utilized by many schools as well as office goers in the city.
It was mentioned by a resident activist Mr. Dayanand Krishnan that re-routing of the bus service has brought down the cost of the travel of many residents now
