Today (Friday, 26th August) last day to apply for Prime Ministers Educational Assistance!

It is announced that today (Friday, 26th August) is the last day for sports specialist youth to apply for Educational assistance under the Prime Minister`s Scheme ``Energetic India`!
In a notification released in this regard by the Coimbatore Collector`s Office, it is mentioned:
"Young Achievers` Educational Assistance Award is given to 15000 students belonging to the other backward community, economically backward cadre, and scheduled caste/tribes.
The applicants must be learning in schools listed on the website http://yet.nta.ac.in and must be studying 9th to 11th Standards.
The annual income of the parents or guardian must not exceed Rs. 2.50 Lakhs. Rs. 75000/- will be awarded for the students of 9th and 10th Standards and Rs. 125000 will be awarded for the students in 11th & 12th Standards.
The selection of candidates will be based on the performance of the students in the YASSAVI (Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India) entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency.
The test will be computer-based. The last date for applying is 26th August (Friday, tomorrow). Corrections on applications, if required, can be carried out until 31st August!
Hall tickets will be issued on 5th September and the examination will be conducted on 11th September.
