GCC warning!!: Banned plastic items MUST NOT be used in Marina Beach!!

The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has emphasized monitoring the usage of banned plastic items in the Marina, Thiruvanmiyur, and Besant Nagar Beaches!
After the ban, all 1-time-use=and-throw plastic items are banned in the State of Tamil Nadu! Further, the central government also has banned them.
In this situation, the producers of these plastic items, if caught, will be penalized and their items confiscated!
In this situation, information is gathered that these 1-time-use-and-throw plastic items are still being used in the shops located in popular tourist attractions places, especially, Marina Beach Besant Nagar Beach and Thiruvanmiyur Beach! Subsequently, the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has issued orders that banned items MUST NOT BE USED!
Accordingly, an inspection was conducted today (Friday, 5th August) at Marina Beach and on this inspection, 68 shops were checked and 18 shops were found to be still using the banned 1-time-use-and-throw plastic items! The stock was confiscated and the shop owners were charged with a penalty!
Further, an inspection was undertaken by the GCC Health Officers in 15 zones under the Greater Chennai Corporation from 27th July until 2nd August! The survey/inspection was carried out in commercial organizations and shops As such, banned plastic items were confiscated from 2548 owners and 161 kgs of banned plastic items were confiscated and a penalty of Rs. 917100/- was imposed!
