Extension of time for applying to engineering courses and Arts / Science degree courses!!

The Minister for Higher Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, K. Ponmudi, has announced that an extension of time has been given (without mentioning the limit) for the candidates to apply for admission to the graduate engineering courses!
The Minister further explained that as the results of the 12th Standard CBSE public examinations are yet to be announced, the extension of time to apply for graduate engineering courses has been given up to 5 days after the release of the results for the CBSE 12th Standard Public Examinations!
The Minister for Higher Education had a session with the press reporters today (Friday, 8th July). He shared:
“As there has been a delay in the release of results for the CBSE 12th Standard Public Examination results, the extension of time has been given without a specific date for applying for admission to the graduate engineering courses.
As per the earlier announcement, the last date for applying for admission to the graduate courses in Arts & Sciences was yesterday (Thursday, 7th July). The last date for applying for counselling/admission to the graduate engineering colleges was 17th July! Now, this has been extended without a specific date.”
The Minister for Higher Education further explained that so far, 2 lakh girl students have applied for the monthly assistance of Rs, 1000/- offered for college students. 3 lakh candidates have applied for joining the government arts colleges!
