South Chennai localities like Adyar, Velachery, Sholinganallur, Mylapore etc to face water supply issues!!

There would be shortage of water supply in south Chennai on Wednesday 22nd June 2022. The reason for that was production has been stopped at the 110MLD desalination plant at Nemmeli. It is known that CMWSSB or Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board was formed in 1978 and is a statutory board of the TN government.
The emergency pipe leakage rectification has been taken up by CMWSSB now at the desalination plant. It has been confirmed by the sources that the production would start at 10am on 23rd June 2022 only.
It must be noted that various localities belong to south Chennai like Adyar, Velachery. Besant Nagar, Sholinganallur, Injambakkam, Neelankarai, Kottivakkam, Perungudi, Palavakkam, Thiruvanmiyur, Mylapore and Mandaveli etc would be affected as there would be water supply in these localities.
