Know about this superb facility that would come up in all public libraries in Chennai and TN?

For the benefit of the students appearing for various competitive examinations, the TN government would be doing this soon!!
The sensational piece of news is that all the government based public libraries in the state of Tamil Nadu would get free Wi-Fi connections to help the above said students. As many as 4650 state owned public libraries have been functioning across all the districts in Tamil Nadu. These libraries have 60lakhs readership base. Truth is that these libraries do not have Wi-Fi facilities in them.
It was later revealed by a senior officer belonging to the school education department that the competitive exam aspirants requested Wi-Fi connections so that they would be able to download model question papers and also involve themselves in other exams related activities etc. He spoke about how in the first phase as many as 325 public libraries in TN would get free internet facilities. By this facility, around one lakh aspirants would get benefited.
The senior official then shed light on how the TN government has allotted Rs 287.27 crores for the Directorate of Libraries in 2022 in the budget. In the second phase, 1000 libraries would be covered. Based on the number of users, the internet speed would be provided and discussion about this would be carried out by the authorities. Information is that interested readers would be able to get the password to access the internet connection on his or her mobile phone or laptop etc totally free.
This free internet connection would be just for the members and others must get approval from the library in-charge to use the internet facility. Based on the requirement, the free internet facility would also be extended in libraries in the rural places in Tamil Nadu. It is now said that there would be civil services study centres in 289 public libraries at taluk headquarters across Tamil Nadu.
