New!: Tatkal system introduced to expedite registration of property documents!

As a means to expedite the registration of properties, a new ‘Tatkal’ system has been introduced!
The State Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered to instal of this system in 100 Registrar Offices in Tamil Nadu.
In this regard, in a notification released by the State Government of Tamil Nadu Department of Registration, Jothi Nirmalasamy, it is mentioned:
“In a letter written by the Head of the Registration Department, it is mentioned that presently, the citizens enter the details of registration on the internet website. A facility has been made on the website for the applicant to display the date and the time of the registration at the concerned Registrar`s Office.
As such, the concerned citizens can register their properties on the displayed time and date!
The tokens for the applying citizens are given on the internet! 10 tokens are given for 6 cycles in a single Registrar’s Office.
Generally, on the dates considered auspicious for registration, tokens are distributed earlier.
As a fixed amount of tokens are distributed for a given day, some of the applying citizens who could not register to get disappointed!
As such, to facilitate the applying citizens to register on dates as per their preference, a ‘Tatkal’ facility has been recommended to be introduced with a payment of Rs. 5000/-!”
The distributed Tatkal tokens will be registered at fixed intervals. Tatkal tokens will also be processed as per the normal procedure currently followed.
As per this new system, permission is given for additional Tatkal tokens for registration on all days!
In case the concerned public is not available on the given, the given token will not be valid for registration. Also, the money paid for Tatkal registration will not be refunded! As per the time allotted at present, the Tatkal facility can also be registered. As per the time allotted in Tatkal, registration will be open 2 months in advance.
The head of the Department of Registration has requested the State Government of Tamil Nadu to introduce the Tatkal tokens along with the regular tokens.
He had also requested to name a special new account to record the earnings through the newly introduced Tatkal registration!
The State Government of Tamil Nadu, after thoroughly scrutinising, The proposal from the Head of the Department of Regigistration, grants permission through this order to implement the Tatkal Procedure for the registration of properties.
This new Tatkal registration system will be implemented in the first Phase in 100 selected Registrar Offices!
It is expected that there will be more registrations during the introductory phase of the Tatkal system. The Head of the Registration Department needs to identify and monitor the implementation of the Tatkal system in the selected 100 Registrar Office based on the registration.”
