Porur burial ground in Chennai Metro City to remain closed till April 7 due to maintenance work!

Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has announced that the burial ground in Chennai`s Porur will not function till April 7 due to maintenance work.
The announcement from GCC mentions that the burial ground, located in ward 151 in the Valasaravakkam zone, is being renovated.
GCC has further asked the residents to make use of burial grounds in nearby wards during this period.
To avoid inconvenience and to ensure respectful last rites of the deceased, residents can check the list of burial grounds on the Chennai Corporation`s official website:
