What is sensational that would be happening at the Thiruvanmiyur - Thiruvottiyur bus route in Chennai?

Metropolitan cities like Chennai have people of different types and everyone must have access to all the facilities. This would become true in the future.
The superb piece of information is that GCC would be making the bus stops in Chennai friendly for the differently abled persons. According to an officer belonging to the GCC it was clear that the transport department has proposed a pilot project to operate a differently able friendly bus facility in the Thiruvanmiyur - Thiruvottiyur bus route. It is now said that the Chennai Corporation has been asked to create facilities for the differently able persons following the proposal. Information is that the bus stops on this above said route would be retrofitted.
There are as many as 90 bus stops between Thiruvanmiyur and Tiruvottriyur and GCC would have to make these bus stops friendly for differently abled persons.
Steps in these bus stops would be replaced by ramps like entrance and ramps would be created in these bus stops and by that the differently able persons would be able to board the MTC buses. It was explained by the officer that at present 4 bus stops would be taken for creating ramps.
The bus stops where differently able friendly facilities would be created in the Chennai city are Mylapore Tank bus stop on Ramakrishna Mutt Road, Dr. MGR Janaki College bus stop on the Durgabai Deshmukh Road and Clive Battery bus stop on the Rajaji Salai. Similar facilities would be created at other bus stops depending on the pilot work.
An amount of Rs 1 lakh plus would be spent by GCC for these mentioned bus stops in Chennai. Issues like space constraints must be addressed before designing the bus stops because some of the bus stops have space constraints. Just a few days back, GCC has floated a tender for creating a permanent pathway at Marina Beach for those who are differently able. An amount of more than Rs 1 crore would be spent for creating the pathway. This move caught the attention of many and it was appreciated is known.
It was later explained by a differently able person that the move was superb and wanted the authorities to make all the facilities accessible and not just the selected bus stops. He was of the view that the authorities must address the issue in the planning stage itself instead of creating the facilities and adding facilities for differently abled persons.
