Tamil Nadu State Department of School Education: Sudden Cancellation of Days without School Bags with Books!

The Department of the School Education of the Tamil Nadu State Government has announced that the notification that ‘days without the school bag of books’ to be observed is CANCELLED!
Earlier, it had been announced that for the students studying in 6th to 8th Standards, 26th February will be observed as a ‘Day without the school bag of Text Books’!
It was explained that this introduction of ‘book-bag-less day’ will help reduce the mental tension/stress of the students and also improve the life system.
Further, funds of Rs. 1.26 Crores were allotted to implement this proposal.
In this scenario, as there is a vital need to improve the learning skills of the students in the present times (especially with the time lost due to the waves of the coronavirus pandemic), the Department of School Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that this proposal is being withdrawn!
Further information is learnt that the funds allotted for the above proposal will be repaid to the Tamil Nadu State Government!
