The news that has come out is that the eligible family card holders can collect their Pongal gift pack from 7am in the morning on Monday 17th January 2022. This has been announced on Saturday by the government of Tamil Nadu.
It is learnt that the ration shops falling under the purview of joint registrar PDS-2 Chennai south zone would remain open and function on Monday. This was mentioned in the statement released by the government.
It must be taken into account that those eligible family card holders who haven’t collected their Pongal gift till now could collect them at the fair price shops.
