Shocking!!More than 1000 COVID active cases in the 5 important GCC zones now!!

If you are a resident belonging to places like Anna Nagar, Kodambakkam, Adyar, Teynampet and Royapuram etc in Chennai, then this piece of news would be a bitter pill to swallow!!
On Thursday evening, the number of Coronavirus cases in Chennai went above 11000. The news is that the number of active cases in 5 important GCC zones has gone more than 1000 now.
It is known that zones such as Royapuram, Teynampet, Anna Nagar, Kodambakkam and Adyar have huge populations. More than 1000 Coronavirus cases have been reported from each of these 5 zones now. As many as 1424 active cases were reported from the Teynampet zone. Zones like Kodambakkam and Adyar had as many as 1362 and 1348 cases respectively.
Point is that Anna Nagar had 1286 active cases and 1075 active cases were reported from Royapuram zone belonging to north Chennai.
In Chennai, around 50% of Coronavirus active cases have been reported from central zones like Thiru Vi- Ka Nagar, Ambattur, Anna Nagar, Teynapet, Kodambakkam etc. The central region had as many as 5501 active cases on Thursday morning. North region had 2119 active cases and the south region had 3519 active cases. Many Coronavirus affected persons are under home isolation now and it is said that 1000 volunteers have been appointed by GCC to monitor these home isolated persons. For each of the 200 wards, 5 volunteers have been appointed by GCC.
