Unique scheme!! - Students can join second year B. Com courses directly in TN colleges after completing class 10!!

This piece of information would make many students who have completed class 10 feel delighted now!!
It is known that at present lateral entry is available for the technical courses in the colleges that have been approved by AICTE. The latest news is that the TN government would be introducing lateral second year entry in B.Com courses at all the arts and science colleges beginning from this academic year. Sounds incredible right!!
Many students as well as academicians have been requesting lateral entry to second year B.Com courses at the colleges and the Directorate of Collegiate Educations decision to introduce this new process has come at this point of time.
After getting feedback from academicians and professors, the government would be introducing the lateral entry scheme in the coming academic year. This was mentioned by a senior officer belonging to the school education department.
It is now revealed that those students who have studied various 3 year diploma courses Commercial Practice, Computer and Commerce etc after class 10 could directly join second year B.Com courses at various arts and sciences colleges in TN. The senior officer later stated that those students who joined second year B.Com courses would be treated on par with those students who have joined B.Com after completing class 12. By this new lateral entry scheme, many students would get befitted
It is now said that in future there might also be lateral entry into B.A or Bachelor of Arts courses in the colleges in Tamil Nadu. Discussions regarding this have been going on.
According to Mr. G. Kanappan, Tamil Nadu Commerce Faculty Welfare Association, in the absence of this lateral entry scheme now several diploma course students interested to join B.Com were losing atleast one year. He concluded that this new move by the government would encourage many students
