Sensational!! Studying engineering course in Tamil language!!

Education must be promoted for the students in their mother tongue so that they would be able to learn well if the students study various subjects like engineering etc in their mother tongues. This was revealed by Mr. R. Velraj, vice-chancellor of Anna University yesterday. It must be noted that the vice-chancellor spoke about this in the book exhibition in the university.
The sensational piece of information is that in countries such as Germany, Russia and Japan etc, technical courses like engineering etc were being taught in the mother tongue. This has led to many students to excel in their fields. The students would turn out to be better professionals if they learn engineering etc in Tamil language. This was also according to the vice chancellor. Education in native languages must be encouraged.
Recently, a survey was conducted by AICTE or All India Council for Technical Education and it was found that nearly 44% of students want to study engineering courses in their mother tongue. Truth is that Tamil and Hindi were the most preferred languages for the students.
Learning and promoting the mother tongues is very important and then people could learn other languages. Point to be noted is that government schools and educational institutes must promote the mother tongue.
