128% higher rainfall across Chennai

The recent rain in Chennai has made a record – this is the maximum rainfall received as of now, in the entire year. And, this is nearly 128% higher than the previous levels. It was measured to be nearly 44.4mm, whereas the usual measurement used to be just 19.5mm. Due to this vast different, the weather is expected to be wet for few more days.
According to the weather forecast department, the change in weather is because of low pressure in bay. Between first and tenth of July, the city has received nearly 12% excessive rainfall when compared to the previous years.
