Anna University Announcement: Last dates for joining engineering colleges!

Almost all engineering colleges in the State of Tamil Nadu function under Anna University.
As a system, counselling used to be conducted every year for admission to Engineering colleges. However, presently, due to the prevailing coronavirus pandemic conditions, counselling this year was done ONLINE!
The rank or merit list of the selected candidates was released on the net on 14th September. As per the list, 13 students in the 1st rank have secured 200 out of 200!
The 1st Phase of the counselling was conducted for the special cadre candidates and the 2nd Phase of counselling was for the candidates belonging to the general or common cadre.
After this, the candidates registered their preferred colleges online and need to pay the fees before 8th October and confirm this based on which the official final admission order will be given.
As per the scenario above, Anna Univ3rsity has now made a notification! As per this, candidates who have to join Guindy Engineering College, Chennai Metro City and Alagappa College of Technology and the Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) can join their respective colleges from 25th October to 27th October.
