Central Government Announcement: The charges for renewal registration of old vehicles increased!

The central government has announced that the charges for the renewal of registration of old vehicles HAVE BEEN INCREASED BY 8 TIMES!
The amount fixed earlier for the renewal of registration of the old vehicles had been fixed at Rs. 600/-. Now, this charge has been increased 8 times!
The official central government order to this extent has been released by the Central Ministry of Highways!
As per the above order, the charges for renewal of registration of old vehicles more than 15 years old has been increased from Rs. 600/- to Rs. 5000/-!
For the old motorcycles, it has been increased from Rs. 300/- to Rs. 1000/-.
For the old buses and trucks/lorries, the renewal charges for registration have been increased from Rs. 1500/- to Rs. 12500/-.
For the smaller freight vehicles and the passengers’ vehicles, it has been increased to Rs. 10000/-.
It has been announced that the above-revised renewal charges for registration of old vehicles WILL BE EFFECTIVE FROM APRIL 2002.
