Tamil Nadu schools to reopen on November 1 for classes 1 to 8

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that permission has been granted to recommence Norma school classes for the students of 1st to 8th Standards from 1st November!
It is to be noted that the children will be returning to school after the rather long gap of 500 days!
In a notification released by the State Government of Tamil Nadu in this regard, it is mentioned:
“As per the recommendations of the medical experts, academicians, and the parents of these students, the schools for the students of 9th to 12th Standards and the colleges have been functioning.
In a similar vein, the medical experts, academicians, and parents of the students have been observing that the students of the lower classes, from the 1st to the 8th Standards have been subjected to great mental stress and hardship for the last several months remaining at their residences and also has created a huge gap in the learning in the society!
Considering this important recommendation/observation above, the normal school classes will be resumed for these students from the 1st Standard to the 8th Standard from 1st November while strictly adhering to the protective guidelines against the coronavirus pandemic.
As such, the Department of School Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has to undertake the arrangements for the reopening of the schools as above!”
