Conducting typewriting, shorthand, accountancy exams etc with new SOPs!!

In another 2 days, technical examinations such as typewriting, shorthand and accountancy would be held in Tamil Nadu. It is now brought out that the Higher Education Department or HED has issued fresh standard operating procedures or SOPs for conducting the examinations. The main objective behind the fresh SOPs is to ensure safety of the students.
From 22nd of September, DOTE will be conducting technical examinations after postponing 2 exams because of Coronavirus pandemic. Point is that more than 2 lakhs students would be appearing for the examinations.
In the normal circumstances, the technical examinations would be conducted twice per year in the months of February and August. The Coronavirus pandemic and lockdown has led to cancellation of the August 2020 and February 2021 exams. It is known that DOTE controls all the institutes of commerce education and it would conduct exams batch wise and rotation wise.
In this year, about 1.5lakhs students would be appearing for the typewriting exams in both junior and senior levels. This was according to the notification issued by DOTE. There would be 50000 students who would be appearing for the shorthand exams and 20000 for accountancy exams
Safety of the students is very important and it is said that the students appearing for the technical exams must wear a 3 layer facemask. This was as per the new SOP. In the examination hall, a gap of 2mete must be there between one student and another. Management of institutions has been given instructions now. At each examination centre, a register containing the details of mobile numbers and residential address of the students must be maintained. Hand sanitizers would be available at the entrance of the exam hall and there would not be any sale of snacks/food items etc even near the examination centre. In case of emergency, the authorities concerned have been asked to keep the medical team ready.
