Very Important!! Counselling for BE/B. Tech courses in 4 phases in Tamil Nadu!!

Department of technical education has announced that the counselling for B.E and B. Tech courses for the general category students would start on 27th September and it would go on till 17th October. The counselling would take place in 4 phases. It is known that there are many students who are very eager to join engineering courses in TamilNadu.
For the current academic year, admission of students in the engineering colleges including Anna University in Tamil Nadu has started. In this scenario, 174,000 boys and girls have applied for the engineering courses. It is learnt that out of this just 145000 students have paid the fees. As many as2722 students have not yet registered their documents. Point is that 3290 applications have been rejected.
Information collected is that the rank list of the eligible and qualified 139000 students have been released. There would be 136973 students who would be participating in the counselling and the schedule has been released by the department of technical education or DOTE.
In the first phase of counselling, students who have secured ranks 1 till 14788 could participate in the counselling from 27th September to 5th October. In the second phase of counselling, students who have secured ranks from 14789 till 45227 could participate from 1st October till 9th October.
The third phase of counselling would be from 5th October till 13th October and students who have secured 42228 to 86228 ranks could participate. It has been announced that in the fourth phase of counselling those students who have secured 86119 to 136973 ranks could participate.
