Chennai residents careless - Now, there is a sudden increase in the new COVID cases in Chennai!!

On Monday, the number of fresh Covid-19 cases reported in Chennai was 169. On Tuesday, the number of fresh cases went up to 194. This has been worrying many now. It is leant that on Monday the number of fresh cases reported in the state of Tamil Nadu was 1556 and yesterday the number went down to 1544.
The district of Coimbatore reported as many as216 fresh Covid-19 cases yesterday and the district reported 206 fresh cases on Monday. Fact is that Coimbatore district was the only district in TN that reported more than 200 fresh cases yesterday.
Between Monday and Tuesday, districts like Kallakurichi, Erode, Mayiladuthrai and Sivaganga reported a double digit increase in the fresh cases. Fewer than 20 fresh cases were reported in 16 districts like Perambalur, Thoothukudi, Dindigul, Virudhunagar etc.
Health secretary Mr, J, Radhakrishnan was of the view that after the relaxations were announced in Chennai the residents became careless. This has led to the new clusters now. He later spoke about how the wedding season might increase the number of Coronavirus cases. To control the number of cases, the monitoring would be intensified in the coming days.
Information is that on an average TN has been vaccinating nearly 5lakhs people per day in September month. Compared to 5.2akh people on Monday, TN vaccinated 4.7lakh people yesterday. It must be noted that the vaccination coverage at the private centres touched 22.24 lakhs from 1st of May 2021. As many as127 fresh cases were reported in Puducherry yesterday.
