With schools set to reopen on 1st September, new guidelines released!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that direct classes are scheduled to restart in all schools and colleges from 1st September.

The Department of School Education of Tamil Nadu State Government has announced that the schools will reopen for the students of the 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th Standards.

Subsequently, a new set of guidelines has been released on behalf of the Tamil Nadu State Government Department of School Education.

  • Schools will function 6 days a week for the students of the 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th Standards.
  • Not more than 20 students will be allowed to sit in each class.
  • In case there are no additional classrooms available in the school, classes are to be conducted on a rotational basis with alternate days.
  • In case online classes are conducted in school if students prefer, they may attend the online classes.
  • All the school teachers and Staff MUST have been administered with corona vaccines.
  • Students who prefer to learn from home may be permitted to do so with parents’ approval.
  • The teachers and students must wear face masks in the classes and the school complex.
  • Social distancing procedure MUST BE STRICTLY followed in the seating arrangement of the students in the classes.
  • All the tables, chairs, seats, doors, and windows in the school complex Must be cleaned with germicides before the school opens.
  • Germicides/sanitisers must be kept in all classes.
  • Note that the online classes will continue for the students who do not attend schools!
