ANOTHER COVID CLUSTER identified in Chennai now- Those who had 2 vaccine doses also got affected

The Covid-19 cluster at Kilpauk in Chennai took many by surprise is known. The news that has come out now is that another Covid-19 cluster has been identified by the officials of GCC. This has become the subject for discussion for many now. It is now mentioned that Chennai had witnessed 2 Covid-19 clusters in a span of 15 days with more than 40 infections. A woman with comorbid issues died due to this infection.
If the first Covid-19 cluster at Kilpauk was due to a religious gathering the second cluster now identified in the gated community belonging to Sholinganallur was a different one.
In this latest Covid19 cluster, as many as 2 persons including 15 adults who have taken single or 2 Covid 19 vaccination doses and 6 children have tested positive for the deadly infection. This was according to Mr. J. Radhakrishnan, health secretary.
Truth is that the health officials were shocked to know about the latest cluster on Model School Road in Sholinganallur. It is well known that the health officials have been busy sensitising the people on Coronavirus pandemic related safety precautions. In Kilpauk, a religious gathering at Varadhammal Koil Street was responsible for the first Coronavirus cluster that infected 24 persons. As per a senior officer belonging to GCC it was clear that more than 300 devotees gathered for the annual religious event at the temple. The trustees of the temple also got affected by the infection.
Out of a total of 398 samples tested from the Sholinganallur cluster as many as 23 samples were positive. It is learnt that out of the 23 persons 4 were administered with a single vaccination dose and 11 with both doses.
Information is that the health secretary Mr. J. Radhakrishnan was accompanied by the GCC regional deputy commissioner Simranjeet, zonal health officer, Dr. Usha and zonal officer Mr. Sukumar etc
