The Inspector-General of the Department of Registration, Siva Arul, has ordered that ONLY IF THE DOCUMENTS ARE 100% AVAILABLE AS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION, REGISTRATION CAN BE PROCESSED!
There are 575 Registration Offices in the State of Tamil Nadu.
The registration process for transactions related to houses, plots, agricultural lane=d and property-related transactions are processed here in these Registration Offices.
IG Sivan Arul has ordered that these documents MUST BE RETURNED TO THE CITIZENS ON THE SAME DAY OF REGISTRATION!
However, complaints were received that SOME REGISTRARS DO NOT RETURN THE DOCUMENTS CITING VARIOUS PRETEXTS AND KEEP THEM IN THEIR OFFICES!
Due to this above reason, the above order has been released!
