CBSE Plans 2 Public Examinations!

With the public examinations for CBSE not being conducted over the last 2 years due to the raging first and resurgent coronavirus pandemic, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has now planned to conduct a new set of Public Examinations for the 10th & 12th (+2) standards.
As per this plan, 2 Public Examinations are scheduled to be conducted every year. Due to the raging first and resurgent coronavirus pandemic, there were difficulties encountered in conducting the Public Examinations for 10th & +2 students over the last 2 years .Public Examinations were cancelled for some subjects last year and ALL subjects this year!
Subsequently, CBSE has planned to conduct the Public Examinations in a different mode in the Academic Year 2021-22. CBSE Senior officials shared in this regard:
“We have planned to conduct Public Examinations twice for the current academic year 2021-22. It is planned to conduct 2-semester public examinations to be called ‘Term-1’ and ‘Term-2’, The syllabus will also be revised accordingly. The public examinations will be of 90 minutes duration.
Details of the question paper and marking procedure will be sent to the schools. Marks will be given at the end of the academic year based on the marks obtained in the Term-1 and Term-2 Public Examinations.
Term-1 Public Examinations will be conducted during November-December and Term-2 Public Examinations will be conducted during the next March-April.
With a special focus on checking the skill of the students to select the correct answers, MORE IMPORTANCE WILL BE GIVEN TO THE SCHOOL INTERNAL ASSESSMENT!
These particulars of the students will be obtained at the start of the academic year itself. Data will be collected for every individual student. The schools NEED TO UPLOAD THE (INTERNAL) MARKS OF THE STUDENTS ON THE OFFICIAL CBSE WEBSITE!
The assessment of the students of the 9th & 10th Standard will be made in a similar procedure with the 3 terminal examinations and also assessing the student’s ability to the absorbing/learning capacity with the attention paid by the students during classes!
INTERNAL ASSESSMENT WILL BE MADE AT THE SCHOOL LEVEL FOR THE +1 & +2 STUDENTS FOR EACH SUBJECT ON THEIR LISTENING/ABSORBING THE LESSONS.
CBSE will proved the schools with Model Marking Procedure, the Question Bank, and the training required for the teachers!
