Who all would be benefited in the post COVID care drive launched in Chennai

During the second Covid-19 infection pandemic wave in Chennai more than 2.7lakhs patients have come back from the hospitals or they have completed home based quarantine. These persons would be getting medical support and tele-medicine services from GCC.
It is clear that the Chennai corporation commissioner Mr. Gagandeep Singh Bedi has instructed all the officers to begin post-Covid follow up care for such residents belonging to all the 15 GCC zones.
The follow up care would be for another 3 months and this was as per the deputy commissioner Mr. Alby John Verghese. Those persons who have complained about persisting issues would be addressed for their concerns. It must be noted that the persisting issues are remnants of the illness and medical help would be arranged if necessary. Truth to be noted is that a substantial number of patients continue to have symptoms long after they have recovered from the initial phases of Covid-19 infection.
