Wrong dates in the vaccination certificates is now creating huge issues in completion of vaccination in Chennai

The residents of Chennai complain that they are not getting Covid- 19 vaccination certificates at the correct time because of late entry and certificate generation. This has led to many of them not able to get their second dose of vaccine shots.
It is now said that just by booking a slot and getting the first dose of vaccination doesn’t mean that the struggle to complete the procedure is over. Wrong dates get mentioned in the certificates and this adds on to more issues for the residents as it affects their second dose of vaccine schedule. A resident of Kolathur spoke about how he faced issues in getting the Covid-19 vaccination certificate due to an issue in the server. As a result of that his details cannot be updated.
It was later pointed out by a resident of OMR that she was given a vaccine jab in the mass vaccination drive organised by her office in the last week of April. She added that she was given a slip with details of the vaccine and about the date for the second dose. The sudden lockdown resulted in her office not able to provide her second dose of vaccination. She concluded how without any certificate after her first vaccine shot she was not given a second shot by other sites.
