New regulations imposed by the State Government of Tamil Nadu from today to prevent the spread of the resurgent corona!

Over the last few days, the number of citizens affected by coronavirus every day has been increasing – surpassing 20000 per day! The death rate is also increasing!
To prevent this raging spread of the resurgent coronavirus pandemic, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has imposed new restrictions commencing today (Thursday, 6th May) from 10.00 AM!
The details:
· All private and public offices MUST FUNCTION WITH MAXIMUM 50% EMPLOYEES!
· The public can travel only up to 50% capacity in all transport facilities such as Train, Metro Rail, private buses, government buses, and rental taxis.
· The groceries shops and vegetable shops operating in commercial complexes ARE NOT PERMITTED TO OPEN THEIR SHOPS! Apart from them, the privately operating grocery shops, vegetable shops, etc., can operate without air-conditioning up to 12.00 AM. Note that ONLY 50% of CUSTOMERS MUST BE ALLOWED IN A SINGLE TIME FOR PURCHASE!
· Except for the groceries and vegetable shops mentioned above, ALL OTHER SHOPS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO OPEN! Pharmacies (medical shops) and milk centres are allowed to function as usual!
· Shops selling fish/meat MUST OPERATE FROM 4.00 AM TO 12.00 AM.
· No permission to sit and eat in hotels!
· Teashops will function until 12.00 Noon. However, no permission given for customers to sit and eat inside these shops! Note that ONLY PARCELS MAY BE PURCHASED from the eateries, cafeterias, and hotels. These parcels can be procured from 6.00 AM to 10.00 AM, 12.00 Noon to 3.00 PM, and from 6.00 PM to 9.00 PM. For the citizens staying in lodges, food must be served there only!
· Organising Social, Political, Sports, Entertainment, Educational, and Cultural functions ARE ALL BANNED! Cinema theatres WILL NOT FUNCTION!
· Not more than 20 persons will be allowed to participate IN FUNERALS AND RELATED EVENTS.
· Spas ARE NOT ALLOWED TO FUNCTION IN THE RURAL CENTRES AND ALL CONTAINMENT ZONES!
· Petrol bunks will function!
· Rental autos, taxis, and private vehicles will be allowed to operate ONLY FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL NEEDS, TO REACH RAILWAY STATIONS OR AIRPORT!
· Essential Services such as milk distributions, newspapers circulation, hospitals, medical test laboratories, pharmacies, ambulances, and the death-vehicle services, vehicles carrying goods/freight and fuel will all be permitted during the lockdown period in the night!
· The newspaper and media employees can continue working during nights!
· Petrol and diesel bunks will function!
· Factories that need to function continuously without any breaks and the factories which manufacture essential products are allowed to function dururing the nights when lockdown is imposed! The employees who attend night duty and return home after completing the same in the above-mentioned factories and the security personnel working in private companies can attend night duty having an Identity Proof or permission letter.
· Night-time working will be allowed in all the telecommunication-linked and information-technology linked service organisations.
· Working in data centres (maintenance), medical, financial, banking, transport and other essential activities, technology-infrastructure-developing tasks may be taken up!
· Storing or taking out goods from the godown will be permitted.
· The employees will be allowed to travel during the night lockdown, Sundays 100% lockdown, in Ports, Airports, and Goods transport.
IT HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED THAT STRINGENT IMMEDIATE ACTION WILL BE TAKEN ON THOS CITIZENS WHO VIOLATE THE ABOVE IMPOSED NEW RESTRICTIONS!
