Shocking!! Doubling rate time for COVID reduced - Another 11lakh cases in just 7 weeks soon

On Wednesday, TN recorded as many as 16665 fresh Coronavirus positive cases. This has many to worry now. The number of active cases in TN has reached 110308 now. As many as 15114 cases were discharged yesterday. Between 22nd April and 28th April, the state of TN reported as many as 1.05 lakhs fresh covid-19 cases.
The shocking piece of information is that the doubling period for this deadly infection has come down from 173 days on 7th April to just 48 days on Wednesday. This has set the alarm bells ringing.
It is now said that if the infection does not slow then TN would be adding another 11.3lak cases in just 7 weeks of time. In the last 24 hours of time in Chennai, as many as 4764 persons tested positive for Covid-19 infection.
On Tuesday, Chennai had 31136 active cases but on Wednesday the active cases shot up to 31295 despite discharges of as many as 4657 patients. In the first week of April, the sum on new or fresh cases was 9002 and from 22nd April to 28th April it went to 29755. Not only the new cases have been creating issues but also the number of deaths. From just 43 deaths the number has gone to 210 in this week. As many as 1219 new covid-19 cases were reported from Chengalpet district yesterday.
Tiruvallur had 751 new cases and Kancheepuram had 443 new cases on Wednesday. Truth is that the Chenani region as a whole had registered a total of 7177 new cases and 54 deaths. It must be taken into account that other northern districts of TN recorded 1540 fresh cases. There were as many as 963 new cases from Coimbatore yesterday and together 8 districts in the region had 3346 fresh Covid-19 cases and 15 deaths. There were as many as 3082 new covid-19 cases from the 10 districts in southern TN. In the central zone, Trichy had the highest number of fresh Covid-19 cases at 480. In total this zone had 1518 new cases and 5 deaths. Information is that on Wednesday as many as 125,004 people underwent RT PCR tests.
